Editor-in-Chief's Address
Dark Voice Editor-in-Chief, Derev Niroth
As Dark Voice Tribune, my primary mission is of course to publish the Dark Voice. When I was first given the reigns of the Dark Voice, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. Today, the course I've set myself upon is a little easier to see, and the work involved is beginning to be more rewarding.
As I began to develop my "vision" of the Dark Voice, two primary items came up again and again. Shifting to an "in-character" perspective, and bringing the fictional world of the Star War's Universe into focus with that of the timeline of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Also, I promised the Brotherhood a new layout for the Dark Voice, as well as Standards of Publication, Submission Guidelines, and a functional staff.
I'm pleased to report that all of these items have now been realized. Thanks to countless hours from myself, and the dedication of several members of my staff, my vision of the Dark Voice has been (mostly) realized. In this issue, you'll find nearly every article is "in-character", and you'll notice several aspects of the issue that tie into the Star Wars timeline. With the nature of this publication, not every article will be able to be in-character, as is evident from a few articles. As Editor-in-Chief, I am okay with this. Moving forward, the new layout is here. I don't know how yet it'll be percieved, and I'm open to comments and suggestions from the masses. If you follow the links at the top of the website, you'll find the main Dark Voice Website, where you can find the Standards of Publication, Submission Guidelines, and the Mission Statement.
I've also used my authority as Tribune to create to auxillary leadership positions within the Dark Voice. Senior Correspondant and Senior Editor. These members will help with the burden of getting all the work done around the office, but more importantly, will slowly begin to learn the full ins and outs of the Dark Voice, and it is my hope that when the day comes that I leave Dark Voice Tribune, one of these two people will be able to take my job, with no interruptions in Dark Voice Operations.
Jedi Hunter Kazarelth has been Senior Editor since I created it unoffically as a test, and has continued in that role now that it is official. Sith Warrior Odin Vaaj took the first slot as Senior Correspondant, and with his unfortunate resignation, it's my pleasure today to announce that Sith Warrior Dismal Visutor will continue onward as the new Senior Correspondant.
In the end, i'm very proud of this issue of the Dark Voice, and while I'm very aware there is more work to be done, I think this is a huge step forward for the Dark Voice. As always, I'd like to thank my staff for the hard work they continue to put into this, and of course you, the readers of the Dark Voice, for which this is all possible.
One quick issue I wanted to address was the re-setting of the Volume. Traditionally, each Volume is 6 issues, ranging through one year. However, with the information released in my Tribune Report - primarily that of restructuring the Volume to eight issues, as well as this issue being the "new start" for the new vision of the Dark Voice, I felt it appropriate to restart a new volume with this issue.

Important Note About This Issue
Dark Voice Editor-in-Chief, Derev Niroth
This issue takes a drastic departure from the traditional "layout" of the Dark Voice. You will no longer find "every" article all linked to one page. The stories making the front page are just that - front page articles. Each category (linked to from the top of every page), has a full page of many more articles. For ease of reading, there is an "index" of the articles, located at the bottom of the Front Page.
